COMFORTABLE ON A TIGHTROPE
25/10/2008
We will be in Glasgow from Monday November 3rd
until Saturday November 8th with the Islington Mill Art Academy, who have been invited to organise a series of events at the Transmission Gallery as part of something called 'Moot Points'. We are to make Volume II issue II of 'The Realest' in situ and pretty much 'LIVE' before your eyes. The whole week, including the production of the zine will be very open and collaborative and we will welcome any contributions/ideas/assistance. This is exciting. Come.
The full programme of events can be found HERE

Neil Robbins has two shows!
One is at the Chapman Gallery at Salford University. It opens Monday 27th October and runs until November 14th.
The other is at his own LIKE gallery which is in the basement of oklahoma, which is on the corner of turner st. and high st. in Manchester city centre. This probably will open at the same time.

DAVID BAILEY HAS MADE A POSTER FOR THE CASS McCOMBS SHOW MONDAY NOVEMBER 17th at the DEAF INSTITUTE
He also makes a comic strip called flesh and bone which you can see and, if you see fit, purchase along with other posters, comics, HERE. Also, it is rumoured that David Bailey is responsible for the recent break-up of Madonna and Guy 'snatch' Ritchie. When Queen Madge saw DB's graphic novel 'ROCK N ROLLA' and realised how easily, effectively and radically parodied Guy 'snatch' Ritchie's new film was she decided to give him, Guy Ritchie, the old heave ho.
You can buy tickets for the Cass Mccombs show HERE
You can get celebrity gossip (real and imaginary) everywhere forever.

Cass McCombs made one of our
favourite records in recent memory. It is called 'Dropping the Writ'. If you can imagine that Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffitti were an Elliott Smith covers band in Twin Peaks and that Elliott Smith, Twin Peaks and AP'sHG were some of your favourite things, then you can imagine how much we loved it.
We have invited Cass McCombs and his band to play a show commemorating 4 years of comfortable on a tightrope. It is Monday 17th November at the Deaf Institute. You can buy tickets here
